Hi everyone! Just wanted to quickly share this video of fashion blogger turned actress and overall Renaissance Woman Tavi Gevinson being interviewed for CBS Sunday Morning. I've actually read her blog and website a few times and it's really good. Reading about Tavi and seeing her on youtube videos just makes me want to keep blogging and working on my writing.

Using Imagination to Accept Facts

I read an article recently titled “18 Really Toxic Things People’s Family Members Had the Nerve to do at Thanksgiving Dinner.” Basically a bunch of people contributed to the article and described insane things happening at their Thanksgiving dinner, ranging from simple etiquette blunders to family members having affairs. I browsed the comment section and saw that one person posted, “None of these are true. #3 is among the fakest thing I’ve ever read. If you believe any of this I honestly think I could convince you to eat a rock.” I on the other hand thought, “Yeah, I could see any one of these incidents happening.” I feel that sometimes people have a hard time believing things that are true because they have no real experience with what’s being described. Another Flag at Half Staff

I'm just planning on writing a really, really short blog tonight. I'm sure that by now you're aware of the tragedy at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburg. I'm sure that there's a lot of things people are feeling right now. Sadness. Anger. Shock. The list could go on. While I was out on an errand for my day job I saw that the American flag was at half staff today. I then realized that this year, 2018, with all of the tragedies and shootings, that I've probably seen more American flags at half staff than I have ever seen in my entire life.
